Horizontal Quilting
Horizontal Quilting (QN) is our endless quilting of rolled goods in direction of the weft from selvedge to selvedge. Unlike ordinary pattern quilting, with this procedure it is possible to choose any desired seam spacing.
Our horizontal quilting is suited for normal quilted fabrics with and without wadding, for stretched qualities with elastic lining and for elastic thread quilting with smocking-effects alongside the seam.
Tuck Quilting
A 3D-tucking effect is created by sewing two different upper threads with one single lower thread. We realize tuck-quilting with or without additions so this procedure is suitable also for fabrics without padding.
The needle spacing is 3 mm (TMS) or 5 mm (TM), with a spacing of the double seam between 0 mm (in direction of the weft) and 3 mm or 5 mm (in direction of the warp).
For technical reasons, it is not possible to perform all quilted patterns as tuck-quilting. Upon request, we will be happy to send you a selection of our quilting patterns suitable for tucking.
Please note: Depending on the materials used, there can be problems with tucking-seams during cutting due to the higher thread rebound. We highly recommend therefore the fabrication of a reference sample using the original fabrics.
Seam Effects
Exact computerized controls and high-performance sewing units allow us to offer attractive seam-effects.
Zig-zag versions are programmed with the pattern course and ensure safe seams thanks to the proven technique (double quilt stitch). Length and peak of the zig-zag can be customized.
Some more possible seam effects are cross stitches, triple stitches and satin stitches.
Thread Effects
As a special effect, the use of different threads is possible.
Upon request, we use also threads provided by the customer, if they are suitable.
Ecording
Ecording (ECO) is the sewing with effect yarns. The quilting of the materials and the sewing with effect yarns are performed in one single step looping the effect yarn with the thread.
Upon request, we will be happy to present suitable Designs and consult you concerning the providing and procurement of suitable effect yarns.
Motif
Exact programmable computerized controls enable us to perform lots of different motifs, but there are still some technical limitations due to the given needle ratio and the limited lateral offset.
One possible technique during the motif quilting is the jump-quilt (JUMP). With this technique, the single motifs are not connected by a quilted seam but by loose threads. A disadvantage of this technique is the necessary cutting of the loose threads after the quilting during the production of ready-made articles that requires an additional operation.
